MedX
Lumbar rehabilitation and back typing.
Arthur
Jones, the inventor of Nautilus equipment developed the MedX Lumbar Extension
Machine for professional rehabilitation.It
was tested and researched at the University of Florida’s Center for Exercise
Science.
The
MedX Lumbar Extension Machine is a computer-aided rehab device designed
specifically to evaluate and strengthen the low back.Through computer graphics, the MedX provides both doctors and patients
with immediate visual data that precisely detects deficiencies and improvements. The MedX rehab program typically lasts 12 weeks, with computerized
strength and range of motion testing every four weeks. After the 12-week program is completed, patients have the opportunity to
maintain their newly gained strength by continuing MedX rehab with their
maintenance adjustments.
These progressive resistance exercises increase flexibility and mobility, as well as strengthen weakened or damaged muscles and ligaments. The programs encourages patient participation in the healing process, and helps reduce the possibility of re-injury or aggravation of the affected area.
